Michael Eshetu

Graduate of La Trobe University.

Michael believes that people from all walks of life deserve an active and healthy lifestyle.

Michael Eshetu graduated from La Trobe University with a Bachelor of Exercise Science and a Masters of Physiotherapy Practice.

Growing up an exercise and sports fanatic, Michael loves everything sport and exercise related. He has played football, basketball and has been a keen runner his whole life. Most recently he has added surfing to his list of activities!

His passion is helping athletes and weekend warriors alike, to achieve their full potential through injury prevention and strength and conditioning.

Working alongside high level teams, Michael has gained the confidence and knowledge to help rehab patients through injury, and assist them to the next level of performance.

Through this experience, Michael has gained a keen eye and thirst to help people manage ACL and knee injuries, hamstring strains, running related injuries, and hip and groin conditions. These have become Michael’s areas of special interest and a huge strength.

Speaking to this special interest, Michael has developed tools and detailed assessment measures to help ensure that ACL rehab goes as smoothly and efficiently as possible, with a reduction in any reinjury. On top of this Michael has formally educated the team around management of hamstring injuries guided by extensive research in the area.

However, he isn’t just all about returning to sport. Michael also loves treating people like you and me, who just want to be out of pain, need help with getting back into exercise, or need their niggles and pain managed amazingly!

Michael had the privilege of spending some time in chronic pain clinics and thoroughly enjoys working through people’s problems and developing plans to help get them out of a pain cycle.

Overall, Michael has a passion for all things Physiotherapy related and continues to develop his skills through regular professional development and learning.

Away from working at Pathways Physiotherapy, Michael enjoys surfing, football, basketball and a little bit of gaming!
