We’re looking for another physiotherapist to join our team in Ferntree Gully.
We’re open to both new graduates beginning their private-practice career and experienced physiotherapists looking for a clinic where they can keep developing, pursue their clinical interests and make a meaningful contribution to the team.
At Pathways, we don’t believe there’s only one way to build a great physiotherapy career. You might want to develop exceptional clinical foundations, grow a particular area of interest, contribute to mentoring and team development, work towards leadership – or simply become an outstanding clinician while maintaining a healthy life outside work.
The role, onboarding and ongoing support will be shaped around the successful applicant’s experience and goals. We aren’t looking for a particular number of years on your CV. We’re looking for the right person to grow with us.
Want to work within a close, supportive team that genuinely helps one another
Enjoy combining hands-on treatment with exercise-based rehabilitation
Care about building strong relationships with your clients and achieving meaningful outcomes
Want regular clinical development without being micromanaged
Are interested in Clinical Pilates, strength and conditioning, or developing your own clinical area of interest
Value contributing to team learning, clinic culture and referral relationships
Want a workplace where you can build a sustainable long-term career
You may be a new graduate looking for strong foundations and plenty of guidance. Alternatively, you may already have private-practice experience and want greater autonomy, opportunities to develop a niche, mentor others or progress towards leadership.
Regular one-on-one mentoring with an experienced physiotherapist
Weekly team in-services and group case discussions
Access to a broad team with experience across musculoskeletal physiotherapy, Clinical Pilates, strength and conditioning, dance physiotherapy & women’s health, exercise physiology and rehabilitation
Quarterly goal-setting and career-development conversations
Support to develop your clinical interests, referral networks and longer-term career direction
New graduates will receive a structured onboarding and mentoring program to help them build their clinical reasoning, treatment skills, communication and private-practice confidence.
Experienced physiotherapists will receive support appropriate to their goals – including opportunities to develop a clinical niche, contribute to team development, mentor less-experienced clinicians and potentially move into future leadership roles.
Five private treatment rooms
A large, bright and fully equipped Clinical Pilates and strength-and-conditioning studio
The freedom to combine manual therapy, education and exercise rather than being limited to one treatment approach
A varied musculoskeletal caseload including private, sporting, fitness, post-operative and rehabilitation clients
An attractive base wage aligned with your experience, with commission paid on top
Up to $1,500 per year in matched CPD support
A full-time position with the roster developed collaboratively
Some evening availability and participation in a shared Saturday rotation
Team culture days 3 times a year and regular social activities
Genuine longer-term flexibility and career opportunities as your circumstances and ambitions evolve
Assessing and treating a varied musculoskeletal caseload
Combining manual therapy, education, home exercise and supervised clinical exercise
Developing strong therapeutic relationships and delivering excellent client experiences
Actively participating in mentoring, professional development and team learning
Communicating with referrers and other health professionals
Contributing to activities that build your caseload and strengthen Pathways’ local referral relationships
Participating positively in the culture and shared responsibilities of the clinic
At Pathways Physiotherapy, we help guide people along their pathway to better health. Our purpose is to inspire, coach and empower people experiencing pain or recovering from injury to become active, healthy and happy.
Our multidisciplinary team includes physiotherapists, an exercise physiologist, Pilates instructors and massage therapists. We believe the best rehabilitation brings together excellent clinical reasoning, hands-on treatment, education and exercise in a plan tailored to the individual.
One of our core values is #we-are-lifelong-learners. We take clinical development seriously, but we also want to develop thoughtful, confident people who enjoy coming to work and contributing to the team around them.
Other values guiding how we work include:
We create lifelong impact
We make it happen
We have each other’s back
We keep it light
We care about sustainable caseloads and a commercially healthy clinic, but we don’t believe that should come at the expense of quality care, clinician wellbeing or doing what is right for the client.
To be successful, you’ll need:
A recognised physiotherapy qualification
Current or expected AHPRA registration by your commencement date
Professional indemnity insurance and the required working checks
Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in people
A willingness to learn, contribute and take ownership of your development
Availability to commence now in 2026, or early 2027
